Shanghai Utsukushigaoka Montessori Kindergarten assists in the growth of children by the educational idea of Montessori

Dragon Boat festival is coming. Our tradition is to hang up the "Ai Cao" above the door, and wrap the zongzi that we prepared. There is also the competition of dragon boat racing. 

On June 9th we had our Father's Day activity. All the students came to school that morning with dads. They made necktie art together. The game had a dragon boat and an obstacle course. Dads all tried their best and the kids were all cheerful as well! The final song was called "I Love My Dad." All the children gave their handmade gifts to their dads.  

On June 13th our department had an activity called wrapping zongzi. It was not an easy job, and the zongzi did not look perfect. But all the kids had a great time! Happy Dragon Boat festival to all!

On June 14th the World Cup began! The teachers and kids were all ready for this big tournament. Students learned about all 32 countries and their locations on the world map. They also learned the rules of the game. All the students have their favorite team. They're all rooting for their teams to win the FIFA World Cup! 

This month we will also had the carnival, which is organized by the Japanese Department moms. We learned the traditional Japanese dance and song. All the students really enjoyed the event. 

On June 25th we had the birthday party for 7 birthday students. Happy birthday to all of them!
