# 01 Tanabata Decoration MandarineCity Campus Following its transmission from China to Japan, the Tanabata Festival underwent a local evolution that gave rise to a unique culture of customs. People celebrate Tanabata by decorating bamboo, hanging confetti and decorations from bamboo branches. People write down their wishes and tie them to the bamboo in the hope that they will be realized. Students at the kindergarten decorated their own little bamboos with the help of their teachers. By cutting and combining colorful paper crafts and tying them to the bamboo branches in different quantities and weights, the children were able to exercise their hands, senses, and logic. Pudong Campus The Tanabata decorations in Pudong Campus were also in full swing. Children from Mountain class and Ocean class were actively decorating under the tutelage of their teachers. The teachers set up inflatable swimming pools on the playground this year, and the children changed into their own cute swimsuits and caps, splashing each other and playing with water guns. Pudong Campus The Pudong Campus held its summer water play indoors this year. Teachers set up pools and water play equipments in the concert hall. Children played with ocean balls and various toys, enjoying a cool summer moment. # 03 Graduation Ceremony
Summer is also the season of farewells. The teachers of International Department prepared the graduation ceremony for the Blue Group children. Before the ceremony started, the teachers tied the children with flowers and had the final rehearsal. Certification Ceremony After the principle gave her graduation blessing, she presented the children with graduation certificates and souvenir gifts prepared by the teachers. This was the moment when the children officially graduated! Performance Part All the graduates prepared poem recitation, Chinese and English songs "I believe i can fly", "Little Junior", and instrumental performances to express their gratitude for their life at kindergarten and their aspirations for the future befroe parents and teachers. Ending At the end, the children of Blue Group also presented flowers to their beloved teachers to thank them for their love and care. The Sleepover activity was the last activity that the Blue Group children attended at the kindergarten. This activity was designed to develop the children's spirit of self-sufficiency, enhance their confidence in living independently, as well as strengthen the concepts of group living and cooperation. The children packed their bags and prepared for the kindergarten night with great anticipation. They watched a movie in the multimedia room and cut carrots and potatoes for their dinner. After dinner, the international department students had a bonfire party with the Japanese department students together. Teacher Roma from the international department played the role of the God of fire and told the children the story of Prometheus, who stole fire from Zeus in Greek mythology. Afterwards, the children and teachers sang and danced around the bonfire and set off small fireworks outside, making it an unforgettable night. The next morning, the children played a traditional Japanese game of watermelon fight and shared the spoils at the end of the day. The sweet watermelons brought the fresh time of summer.
