The various kinds of parent-child activities of Meiqiu emphasize the importance of family education. The Father's Day activities in June gave busy fathers the opportunity to interact with their children, enhancing parent-child understanding and trust. Let's take a look!
Father's Day Event
On Saturday morning, the fathers brought their children to the kindergarten. As it was the Dragon Boat Festival, the first craft activity was a parent-child co-operation to make dragon boat dumplings. The teacher gave a demonstration and then everyone started to make the craft with great enthusiasm!
Dads picked up small scissors and coloured paper, either cutting or pasting, to help the children. They all worked together to make small parts of the craft, and finally put together to complete the work. The children were happy to be able to complete the craft with their dads in the familiar classroom, and the parents also experienced a warm parent-child time with their children.
Then all of the parents and children went to the Music Hall, where Teacher Torrian firstly warmed up the children by asking them why they love their dads, and then led them to do warm-up exercises to get ready for the games and activities that followed.
The first game was Pass the Hula Hoop. The game required the children and the dads to hold hands and pass the hula hoop to the next person by twisting their bodies. The dads tried their best to squat, bow down, twist their backs, and moved the hula hoop from one person to the next. Everyone applauded and cheered together.
The competition was divided into class groups, and everyone made all kinds of hilarious moves in order to finish in the fastest time. The concert hall was filled with the laughter between parents and children.
The second game was to pass the ball. But different from the normal way, this time we need to sit on the ground and use both feet to hold the ball to pass. The children and dads were careful to hold the ball and then moved their bodies. They were united and finally finished the game.
After the game was over, it was time for the dads to experience the children's rhythm class session. The children first demonstrated the movements for the dads and the dads tried their best to stick to the movements accompanied by the teacher's piano. Through the activity, they not only exercised their body, but also shared the joyful time of parent-child companionship.
At the end of the event, the children presented their dads with the Father's Day song I love my daddy and gave them their Father's Day artwork. The Father's Day activities strengthen the bond of parents and children.
The Father's Day activity at Pudong Campus involved dads and children working together to create cartoon dad avatars out of clay. The children used various colours of clay to create a collage of dads.
The craft activity was followed by interactive games in the concert hall. At Pudong Campus, the game was "Two People, Three Legs", in which the children and their dads co-operated with each other to walk around obstacles and sprint to the finish line. After the game, the dads also tried out a variety of movements from the rhythm class with the children.
Daily Life in Mandarin City Campus
Another new child joined us in June! She had fun running and jumping in PE class with other little ones in her age. You were doing great!
The final gift to the dads on Father's Day was the children's Father's Day crafts. By dipping different colours of paint, everyone completed their own works by pressing colourful handprints.
The Dragon Boat Festival themed activity at Pudong Campus was to make various kinds of handmade rice dumplings. Teachers were guiding the children to complete the paper dumplings by folding paper. The works on the wall were dumplings made by the children with clay materials. Which one do you think is cuter?
The Pudong Campus was the first to hold an indoor water play activity this month. Children had fun playing with ocean balls in the inflatable pool inside the concert hall, playing fishing games in the small water basin, and shooting water guns with their best friends. They experienced the cool moments belonging to a summer's day.
